Wil Wheaton and PayPal Hacks

This week at Gnomedex I heard Wil Wheaton read from Just a Geek. His characters came across humble yet irreverant; geeky yet cool. He was very entertaining and a highlight of the conference. For my part, Wil represents the best of what it means to be a geek.

After his session, Wil signed a copy of his book for me. I returned the favor by signing a copy of PayPal Hacks. I was especially thrilled to hear how thankful Wil was for PayPal. He said he used PayPal to sell his first book and credited PayPal with making it possible.

Here’s a photo of Wil and I with each other’s books. (special thanks to Brad Wilson for taking the photo). [Update: Photo no longer online]
